Development of reportıng system for varıous DCS and SCADA systems usıng OPC ın thermal power plants

Reports are important for businesses at every stage, from start-up to production, expansion and survival. Reports allow companies to document their development and create a historical audit trail. Businesses need time-based reports for stakeholders and government agencies for reasons such as procurement processes, operational processes and more. In this thesis, an automated reporting system will be developed for an operational thermal power plant that uses OPC technology to offer access to accurate, dependable, and time-stamped data. The study emphasizes that automated reporting is a crucial solution to the serious risks associated with manual data entry, such as human errors leading to data loss, security breaches, compliance issues and reduced efficiency. Besides, by implementing an automated system, organizations can achieve greater data accuracy, minimizing errors through automatic calculations and formatting, saving time, establishing reliable automated report, potentially optimizing personnel needs, increasing personnel productivity to meet regulatory requirements and monitor the consumption. Thus, organizations can improve decision-making, and ultimately supporting better strategic planning. To achive the goals the data is gathered from SCADA and DCS with PTC (Kepware) software. This data is then stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database. Robosoft Control (Turkey) provides the other necessary software packages for the solution.

Raporlar, kurulum aşamasından üretime devam eden, genişlemeye ve hayatta kalmaya kadar her aşamadaki işletmeler için önemlidir. Raporlar, şirketlerin gelişimlerini belgelemelerini ve geçmişe dönük bir denetim izi oluşturmalarını sağlar. İşletmeler, satınalma süreçleri, operasyonel süreçler gibi sebeplerle paydaşlar ve devlet kurumları için zamana bağlı raporlara ihtiyaç duyarlar. Bu tezde, operasyonel bir termik santral için doğru, güvenilir ve zaman damgalı verilere erişim sağlamak üzere OPC (Open Platform Communications) teknolojisini kullanan otomatik bir raporlama sistemi geliştirilecektir. Çalışma, otomatik raporlamanın, veri kaybına yol açan insan hataları, güvenlik ihlalleri, uyumluluk sorunları ve düşük verimlilik gibi el yazısı ile yazılan veri girişiyle ilişkili ciddi risklere karşı önemli bir çözüm olduğunu vurgulamaktadır. Ayrıca, otomatik bir sistem uygulayarak kuruluşlar daha fazla veri doğruluğu elde edebilir, otomatik hesaplamalar ve biçimlendirme yoluyla hataları en aza indirebilir, zamandan tasarruf edebilir, güvenilir otomatik raporlar oluşturabilir, potansiyel olarak personel ihtiyaçlarını optimize edebilir, düzenleyici gereklilikleri karşılamak ve tüketimi izlemek için personel üretkenliğini artırabilir. Böylece kuruluşlar karar alma süreçlerini iyileştirebilir ve sonuç olarak daha iyi stratejik planlamayı destekleyebilir. Hedeflere ulaşmak için veriler PTC (Kepware) yazılımı ile SCADA ve DCS (Distributed Control Systems) sistemlerinden toplanır. Bu veriler daha sonra bir Microsoft SQL Server veritabanında saklanır. Robosoft Control (Türkiye), çözüm için gerekli diğer yazılım paketlerini sağlar.
