Öğe An ERP Based Industry 4.0 Maturity Model Proposal(2024) Elibal, Kerem; Özceylan, Eren; Çetinkaya, CihanThis study proposes an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) based Industry 4.0 maturity. The model aims to make the vast array of Industry 4.0 technologies comprehensible and actionable for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) by mapping them to specific ERP functions, thus enabling a more agile and tailored approach to digitalization. A comprehensive literature review revealed limited research on this integrated approach and highlighted the need for a model that supports quick assessments and adaptable implementation strategies. A sample application has been conducted in a manufacturing company and it has been seen that the model leverages ERP's modularity to address company-specific needs and includes rapid evaluation features that provides to the dynamic requirements of SMEs, enhancing their competitive edge in the digital landscape. Additionally, the findings serve as a valuable guide for ERP designers/vendors, providing insights into the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies that can enhance ERP system capabilities.Öğe Assessing the Emergency Assembly Areas Using Maximum Coverage Location Analysis: A Case of Gaziantep University(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2022) Özceylan, Eren; Çetinkaya, CihanEmergency assembly areas (EAAs) are safe areas where the people can gather away from the dangerous area in order to prevent the panic that will take place until the temporary shelter centers are ready after disasters and emergencies. Determination of a suitable site for an EAA is crucial to decrease the negative impacts of disasters. There are a few criteria to be considered while finding a place for an EAA, e.g. assembly points should be located at a safe distance away from the danger (building, fire), they must be easily accessible, and finally they must be big enough to accommodate all potential victims. To solve this problem scientifically, the aforementioned conditions should be modeled as a maximum coverage location (MCL) problem. In this paper, the EAAs in Gaziantep University campus are discussed and evaluated. To do so, the 32 current points are considered as source nodes, and 65 buildings are considered as demand nodes. The covered population who are evacuated from buildings is maximized under different travel distance limits. An integer programming formulation is applied to evaluate the current EAAs and the suitability of existing signs is discussed. As a result, it has been determined that eight current EAAs are not suitable. According to another result, everyone can reach the remaining 24 EAAs within 196 m. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.Öğe Estimating the probability of earthquake magnitude between Mw = 4 and Mw = 5 for Turkey(Springer New York LLC, 2019) Dereli, Türkay; Çetinkaya, Cihan; Çelik, NazmiyeEarthquake is a type of disaster that occurs suddenly in different magnitudes. When magnitude of an earthquake increases it is expected that the effects are much more. Earthquakes in varying magnitude between 4Â Mw and 5Â Mw cause uneasiness among the public even if they do not cause heavy damage. The aim of this study is to estimate the probability of an earthquake between 4.0 and 5.0 by using artificial neural network model. Monthly real data between 2006 and 2015 is used for the model. Data is analyzed in MATLAB neural network tool, then estimated output value obtained via analysis and output of test value is compared with regression equation. Besides, seasonal effects on magnitude of earthquake are examined. Results show that 90.51% of the earthquake probability between 4.0 and 5.0 can be estimated by using artificial neural network model.
