    Statistical overview of mining engineering education in Turkey

    In this study, the current situation of the Mining Engineering departments of the universities in Turkey was examined. In this context, first of all, general information about the Mining Engineering departments of the universities and the quota opened in the Mining Engineering departments in Turkey in the last 10 years and the number of students placed were given. The number of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students currently registered in Mining Engineering departments and the number of academicians on the basis of title were given; the number of students per academician for each education program was examined, and solution suggestions were presented for the future of education and the profession. © 2022 Union of Chambers of Engineers and Architects of Turkey.
