Bu çalışmada atık kömür katkılı modifiye bitüm kullanılarak Marshall tasarımı ile hazırlanmış asfalt betonu numunelerinin performans karakteristikleri deneysel tasarım yöntemlerinden Merkezi Kompozit Tasarım (MKT) ve Geri Yayılımlı Yapay Sinir Ağı (YSA) modeli kullanılarak tahmin edilmiştir. Her iki modelin tahmin ettiği performans değerleri karşılaştırılmıştır. MKT yönteminin optimum olarak belirlediği koşullarda doğrulama deneyleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ayrıca optimum deney koşulları YSA giriş parametresi olarak tanımlanmış ve ağın ürettiği çıktılar ile doğrulama deneyi sonuçları % 95 güven aralığının alt ve üst limitleri arasında incelenmiştir. MKT ve YSA modellerinin yanıt değişkenleri üzerindeki tahmin değerleri sırası ile %84.8 – 94.3 – 89.65 – 47.1 olarak elde edilmiştir. Kullanılan modeller karşılaştırıldığında MKT ve YSA tahminlerinin tamamının, doğrulama deney sonuçlarının ise %91.67 nin belirlenen güven aralıklarında kaldığı gözlemlenmiştir. Kullanılan her iki yöntemin ürettiği çıktılar sayesinde Marshall tasarımı performans değerlerinin belirlenmesi için üretilmesi gereken numune sayılarının azalacağı düşünülmüştür. Böylece zaman tasarrufu ve ekonomik kazançların sağlanabileceği belirlenmiştir.
In this study, the performance characteristics of the asphalt concrete samples prepared with Marshall design, using coal waste modified bitumen, were estimated by using Central Composite Design (CCD) and Back Propagated Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model. Verification tests were carried out under optimum conditions determined by CCD method. In addition, the optimum experimental conditions were defined as the input parameter of ANN and the results of the validation test with the outputs produced by the network were examined between the upper and lower limits of the 95% confidence interval. The estimation values on response variables of MKT and ANN models were obtained as 84.8 - 94.3 - 89.65 - 47.1%, respectively. Compared both of the models used in the study, it was observed that both all of the CCD and ANN predictions and 91.67% of validation test results were within observed confidence intervals. Due to the outputs produced by both methods, it is thought that the number of samples that should be produced in order to determine the Marshall performance values will decrease. Thus, it was determined that time savings and economic gains could be achieved.
