Abstract:
The aim of the study is to examine the children’s boks Dr. Parkplatz (Franz Hohler) and Kömür Karası Çocuk (Müge İplikçi) in terms of critical thinking. Document analysis method was used in this study which is based on descriptive model. Firstly, the concept of critical thinking was defined and the relationship betweencritical thinking and children's literature was discussed in the study. Then, these the books were examined in the context of critical thinking. Based on the analysis, the concepts of froreigner, prejudice and empathy have come to the fore. The main finding of this study is: Both Dr. Parkplatz and Kömür Karası Çocuk are very valuable in terms of critical thinking. These books invite and encourage the reader to think critically.
