dc.description.abstract Adana, a middle of the Çukurova, was an important agriculture centre of the Ottoman Empire. Agriculture products were exported to Istanbul and other provinces of the Empire and also it was sent to foreign countries after the needs of local people had been supplied. Between 1873 and 1876, wheat, barley, cotton, cocoa, cottonseed and sesame seeds were essential products. Prices of these products fluctuated in years and certain months. The primary reason for fluctuation was drought. This paper provides information on the prices of agriculture products in Adana by reviewing the Seyhan Newspaper published between 1873 and 1876. tr_TR
