Covid-19’un Beden Terim İlişkiselliğinde Çevirisi: ekşisözlük Örneği

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemisinin etkileri tüm dünyada derinden hissedilmektedir. Pandemi bireylerin günlük yaşamlarında büyük değişim ve dönüşümlere neden olmuş ve “yeni normal” denilen yaşam biçimini sunmuştur. Bu noktada, toplumsal olayların yeni çevresel etmenlere bağlı olarak insan bedeninde en az olayların önemi kadar derin izler bıraktığı bir gerçektir. Yeni toplumsal gerçekliklerle birlikte yükselen ve gündelik dile bulaşan yeni terimler, pandeminin kriz merkezi olarak nitelendirilebilecek sosyal medya mecralarında, olağanüstü bir trafikte dolaşımdadır. Bu bağlamda, terimler ve toplumlar arasındaki sıkı ilişki ağını konu alan toplumterimbilimsel yaklaşım çalışmanın çıkış noktasıdır. Çalışma, Türkiye’de en çok tanım girdisine sahip çevrimiçi katılımcı sözlük tarzındaki ağ sayfası ekşisözlük’te açılan koronavirüs ile hayatımıza giren terimler başlığındaki terimleri odağa almaktadır. Veriler, “bedenden terime aktarım olarak çeviri” ve “terimlerin diller ve alanlararası dolaşımı” olmak üzere iki ana grupta yorumlanmıştır. Böylece, kaynak metinden hedef metne ya da insan bedeninden terimlere çeviri yoluyla aktarım söz konusudur. Terimler çeşitli değişim, dönüşüm ve yaratım süreçlerinden geçerek yeniden inşa edilmiştir. Terimlerin çeviri odağında, diller ve alanlararası kategorilerde çeşitli dolaşımlara girdiği ve Covid-19 pandemisi sürecinde meydana gelen toplumsal bağlamdaki sürekli değişimden oldukça etkilendiği gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca çalışma, çeviri odağında ağ temelli terimbilim ve toplumterimbilim çalışmalarına olan ilgiyi pekiştirmesi açısından önemlidir.

The effects of Covid-19 pandemic are deeply felt all over the world. The pandemic caused great changes and transformations in the daily lives of individuals and presented a “new modus vivendi”. It is an undeniable fact that new environmental factors and the social events they bring with them leave deep traces in the human body at least in the dimension of importance of events. New terms, which rise with new social realities and infect everyday language, are circulating in an extraordinary online traffic, where is the crisis center of the pandemic. Therefore, the socioterminological approach, which deals with the tight relationship network between terms and societies, is the starting point of our study. We investigated the terms titled "terms that come into our lives with coronavirus" on sourtimes, that is the online participatory dictionary with maximum definition entries in Turkey. The data obtained were interpreted in two main groups: translation as transfer from body to term and inter-lingual and interdisciplinary circulation of terms. The results indicate that, the body as a source text was transformed and translated into the terms as a target text and reconstructed in the title above-mentioned. Accordingly, the terms of the pandemic have entered into various circulation in inter-lingual and inter-field categories, and have been highly influenced by the constant change in the social context occurring during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study is considered to be significant in terms of reinforcing the interest in network-based terminology and socioterminology studies in the field of translation.
